Tires for your FJR1300! Killer deals on the best tires for your FJR!

Avon AV45/AV46 combination:
Arguably the Number 1 favorite tire among experienced FJR1300 pilots! This tire gets rave reviews within the FJR community, and for good reason: they are the best you can mount on your steed! Phenomenal dry grip that lets you lean your machine over at angles you never thought possible. Wet grip that is almost unreal (the English know something about wet-weather riding!). Many veteran Iron Butt riders report routine treadlife of over 9,000 miles per set, almost unheard of with tires this sticky!
Avon AV45 ST 120/70ZR-17 Front: $93.95
Avon AV46 ST 180/55ZR-17 Rear: $127.95 |

Michelin Pilot Roads:
This tire also has a huge following in the FJR community, and many consider it the best all around tire for commuting, touring and general riding. The unique tread pattern resists premature cupping and allows the FJR to really hold its line in fast sweepers and tight twisties. This is an outstanding tire for the FJR under any weather condition. Like the Avons, many veteran Iron Butt riders love this tire for it's relatively long treadlife and excellent handling characteristics.
Michelin Pilot Road 120/70ZR-17 Front: $98.95
Michelin Pilot Road 180/55ZR-17 Rear: $126.95

Bridgestone BT-020s:
This is one of the OEM tires for the FJR1300, and Yamaha selected a good one here! This tire has excellent handling characteristics and is an excellent alternative to the other brands. Excellent dry and wet grip. The Bridgestones offer a light, neutral steering and predictable feedback under solo or two-up touring. Often overlooked by tire buyers looking for exotic rubber, the Bridgestone BT-020s offer good treadlife and represent an outstanding value at an attractive price!
Bridgestone BT-020 120/70ZR-17 Front: $100.98
Bridgestone BT-020 180/55ZR-17 Rear: $130.00

Dunlop D220s:
For aggressive, sporty riders who are more concerned about awesome handling and stickiness than they are about treadlife, the Dunlop D220 is the tire for you. These tires are arguably superior even to the Avons in dry grip. You will not believe how far you can lean your FJR over, and with so much confidence! These tires have a more triangular profile that allows for blinding fast transitions and steering that is almost telepathic! Not as long-lived as the above three tires, but if you often take your FJR in the tight twisties and like to go head-to-head with the sportbike crowd, you owe it to yourself to try the Dunlop D220s!
Dunlop D220 120/70ZR-17 Front: $93.40
Dunlop D220 180/55ZR-17 Rear: $112.30
